We are off to Facebook!!

Well this blog has served us well for some years now but we think it's time we transferred to Facebook.

We've had a page there for a bit yet only recently started to post regularly on it. The experience there has been a good one, with a more interactive connection to the reader and we think it can be developed well in the longer term.

However this blog will remain as a historic record of how Green Ginger has developed over eight and a half years from a tiny 200sq ft unit, then to a 1,200sqft unit and finally to the even bigger ex-Clintons store we occupy today.

Shrewsbury calendar 2014

Finally the delayed 2014 Shrewsbury calendar has arrived.

Designed and made exclusively for us at Green Ginger and this year featuring the photography of Sabine Hutchinson the calendar is priced at a brilliant £3.99

Chocolate Explosions!

Here are some pics of our Chocolate Explosions. They are superb and a great line for us at the moment. Currently selling at the eye catching price of £6.99 and £3.99 these are actually far better than the ones you'll find online for up to £15.

 Just a couple of pics taken during September.

August pics

Well it's late August now and the look of the new shop has evolved at a fair pace.

The big change is the moving of the old Clinton Cards counter from the front window and the building of a new counter in the middle of the shop. This is much more 'us' and gives me a much more intimate contact with our lovely customers.

We've moved a lot of things around so they are easier to see and have created a lot of extra space for new stock.

And new lines have continued to arrive as always.

Here are some of the latest pictures. The signage is still not the final product but hopefully isn't too bad.

Mostly organised!

Well we are a few weeks in and most things are organised now. I can see a thousand jobs that still need doing of course but it will take a year to get everything completely right, if such a thing is possible even. In the meantime we've pretty much got our full range up and running for you - and as always there are a few new and interesting lines to see, one of which is the hide based cards for dogs range - birthday cards with extra chew!!!

 The illuminated sign has arrived with the Green Ginger logo on. Next job there will be some promotional wording to go on the side panels.

The new coke machine will be going here in the next few weeks. The stand on the left houses our sugar free, lactose free, dairy free, gluten free, vegan range of treats.
