And really finally!

Well that's all of the recent pics I took.

I think it will take a full year to 'bed' the display in properly but we are finally getting close to the point where we can stop the big work and get on with tweeking the stock mix in the shop. (Close, but not quite there yet of course!)

Thank you to all the customers and suppliers who take the time to read this blog.

Oh, just a few more...

And finally...

Ok so here are the latest pics of the shop as at 23rd November, 2010.

Lots of new pics!!

Ok so here are a bunch of new pics of the shop.

It is constantly evolving and growing and we don't really notice how much we have changed until we take some new photos. These are much more up to date, although we are at present adding a lot of new display slatboard to get more stuff into the shop - which will make these new ones out of date in no time as well.

Lots of New Stock!!

Quite a lot of new stock in now, especially gifts and so on.

The cards stock is good as always, just a few gaps where I am still learning how much I need at the different times of year - still not getting it right all the time but I would say we still have the best selection in the Midlands and Shropshire...!!

Lots and lots of new gifts and party lines due in over the next 3 months (and some Christmas stock too but I better not mention that!!)

Paul :)

Ps really must put some newer pics of the shop on this blog - those ones are so old now.

Paperchase coming to Shrewsbury!

Wanted to take a moment to welcome Paperchase to Shrewsbury.

You guys are my favourite card shop in the world (apart from mine, obviously!) and I wish you all the best in the town.

Far from viewing Paperchase as competition I believe they bring something different to the mix. More importantly their arrival, like the arrival of quite a few growing national retail chains, is a reflection of the fact that Shrewsbury is one of the great survivors of the recession, a local county town with a large catchment area and a visitor town with both a national and international catchment area.

Never been to Shrewsbury? Do pay us a visit.

Paul.

Latest arrivals.

I'm happy to announce the arrival of a few cards by both local artist Kit Ackroyd and his Cheshire based daughter Vivyan Whittaker. Lovely cards so thank you to both of you.

Two weeks ago a range arrived featuring details taken from paintings by Staffordshire artist Terry Silk and these have been selling well. thank you to you as well Terry.

Keyrings have now arrived by local man Peter Sandilands. these are £1.95 each and feature local scenes, Union Jack flags, Welsh Dragons and so on. Great gifts from a day out in Shrewsbury!

Football team mousemats are still selling well, especially the Shrewsbury Town 7-0 souvenir ones - will they never stop going on about it... :)

This years ceramic fridge magnets are now ordered and won't be too long now. They have the word Shrewsbury rather than Shropshire on some of them following lots of requests last year.

And finally, we have finished designing next Christmas's 'Shrewsbury Calendar'. Exclusive to us this will be the 3rd year for the calendar and we think it is a bit better once again. Last year they went all round the world so we are planning on putting a world map on the wall over Xmas 2010 and marking all the places we get told about! Just a bit of fun but should add some interest to stop us flagging over the busy Christmas period.

Shall i shut up about christmas now...?

Paul.

Mother's Day is 14th March

Yes, don't forget it's Mother's Day on March 14th this year and we have the best range of Mother's Day cards so far. Undoubtedly the best in Shrewsbury!

The shop hasn't changed much since my last post, which seems ages ago now, but here are a couple of pictures anyway.

The stock level continues to grow as we reinvest the profits each month and the number of customers is still growing as well. Thank you to all of you who visit us - we are always pleased to see you!
